Dr. Richard Visser will provide an overview of the interaction between an individual’s overall health and weight. He’ll explain how parents and caregivers can make food choices and lifestyle decisions that promote healthy weight and overall wellbeing for their children and families. Dr. Visser’s is an integrated approach, relying on both traditional and alternative health therapies, to achieving wellness.
The Expert:
Dr. Richard Visser is a chiropractor and childhood obesity researcher and educator. His studies in various parts of the world have helped him develop a greater understanding of the biological, sociological and psychological factors that contribute to childhood obesity. Visser developed a national plan for the government of Aruba to promote healthy weight in children and created ExtremeH Games, a program designed to teach children the values of nutrition, movement and psychology.
